Eileen Cavan is a proud San Francisco native. Her parents are Irish immigrants and she has five siblings. She graduated from Presentation High School in SF and Santa Clara University, then went on to get her MSW at Boston University. From 1986-1988, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras.
Eileen was hired as a Protective Services worker at the SF Human Services Agency in 1995 and recently retired after 26 years of working with the families of San Francisco. She has been a board member of the San Francisco Foster Youth Fund since 2000 and will remain on the board in her retirement.
Eileen is also a world traveler and will try to squeeze in some trips when she is not busy helping to raise money to support foster youth.
